Dried Organic Mushrooms

Flavor

Dried mushrooms are more concentrated than the fresh kind (9lbs fresh to 1lbs dried ratio). It’s what makes them spectacular for adding depth to broths, stews, and soups.

Storage Tips

Dried mushrooms hold up best when they’ve been stored in a resealable plastic bag or, preferably, an airtight container. Keep them in a dark, dry place like the back of your cupboard or even your freezer.

Recipe

Reconstituting Dried Mushrooms

1.      Submerge dehydrated mushrooms in a generous amount of warm water.

2.      Soak for about 20-30 minutes or until mushrooms are softened. Thicker mushrooms may take a little longer.

3.      Drain the mushrooms, they are ready to be made into your favorite mushroom recipes.

4.      (Optional) Be sure to reserve the flavorful soaking liquid for use in stocks, soups or sauces.
